Information we collect
We receive your name, purchase email, order identifiers, payment status, and the information needed to confirm your purchase. Checkout and payment providers handle your payment details; our report-generation workflow does not need your full payment-card number.
For your report, we collect a front-facing selfie, a full-body photo, your first name, and your answers about lifestyle, goals, and the impression you want to create. You may also choose to provide a side-profile photo, age range, budget, hair context, style preferences, and comfort or coverage preferences. Submit your own photos and avoid including other people, identity documents, or unnecessary personal information.
We also maintain consent records, intake-link status, report-processing and delivery records, and limited technical information needed to secure and troubleshoot the service.
How we use your information
We use this information to confirm your purchase, connect your intake to the correct order, prepare personalized style and beauty suggestions and generated makeover illustrations, review the report, deliver it, provide support, prevent duplicate fulfillment or misuse, and manage retention and deletion.
AI-assisted suggestions and images are styling guidance. Generated illustrations may differ from real-world results. We do not use this service for facial identification, medical diagnosis, or decisions about employment, credit, insurance, or other eligibility matters. Our recommendations about your desired personal impression are based on what you tell us, rather than assumptions about your character from your appearance.
Your photo-processing consent is separate from any optional marketing consent. We do not publish your photos, reports, or makeover images, or use them in marketing, without separate permission.

We share the information needed for the service with:

Authorized people working for The AV Edit may review your intake and report for quality and support. Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States and Europe. Their services also have their own privacy notices and retention practices.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to valid legal requests, or protect against fraud or security incidents.
Retention and deletion
Our service retention schedule is:
- Submitted photos and intermediate makeover-image files: removed from our active fulfillment systems within 30 days after report delivery.
- Finished personalized reports: removed from our active report storage within 90 days after delivery. Download and save your copy during that period.
- Incomplete or abandoned intakes: removed from active intake storage within 30 days after the last intake activity.
- Purchase, consent, support, and limited security records: kept separately for the business, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, and applicable legal purposes that require them. These records do not need to contain your photo files or the full report.
Deleting active files does not instantly erase every provider backup, security log, or copy you have downloaded or received. Providers may retain restricted backup or security copies under their own schedules. Tally submissions removed from active use remain recoverable in Trash for up to 90 days before permanent deletion. Provider backup and security copies may follow additional retention schedules. Such retained copies are subject to the provider’s controls and are not an extension of customer report access.
Security and access
We restrict access to customer information and use private file storage and protected intake and report-access links. Treat these links as private and avoid forwarding them. We limit the information placed in routine workflow logs and do not intentionally include photo contents in delivery emails. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can leave optional intake questions unanswered. The two required photos, required answers, and processing consent are needed to create the personalized report. Contact hello@theavedit.com to request access to or correction of your information, ask for deletion, or withdraw consent for future photo processing. We may need to verify your identity or order before acting on a request.
Withdrawing consent before processing is complete may prevent us from completing the report. Contact us to discuss your order and the applicable purchase/refund terms. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed or erase records we must retain for a valid legal or business purpose. Applicable privacy rights may vary with where you live.
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Please do not submit photos or information about children.
Updates
We may update this notice as the service changes. The published notice will show its effective date. A materially different use of submitted photos or reports will require appropriate notice and permission where applicable.
